What Traitia is, and isn't
Traitia offers a self-report personality assessment based on the public-domain IPIP Big Five markers, a four-letter type derived from it, written descriptions of those types, and, in the app, AI-generated coaching about situations you describe. It is meant for self-reflection.
It is not therapy, counselling, medical or psychological treatment, or a diagnostic tool, and it is not a crisis service. Nothing on the site or in the app is professional advice. If you are in crisis or worried about your safety or someone else's, contact your local emergency services (in the US, call or text 988) or a qualified professional.
AI-generated coaching
Coaching in the app is written by an AI model from OpenAI, based on your profile and what you write. It can be wrong, incomplete, or a poor fit for your situation. You decide what, if anything, to act on, and you are responsible for those decisions. The app sends nothing to OpenAI until you agree to it, as described in the privacy policy. Please don't include details that identify other people. Every response has a “Report this response” option for anything harmful or wrong.
Who can use it
The app is for adults aged 18 and over. The website is not directed at children under 13.
Free use and subscriptions
- The website, the assessment and the app's profile are free.
- Each app install includes 5 free coaching requests.
- After that, coaching needs the Traitia Coaching subscription, which is sold, billed and renewed through Google Play at the price shown there before you buy. It includes up to 25 coaching requests a day, which reset daily and don't roll over.
- The subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it in Google Play. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies. Nothing in these terms limits any refund or cancellation right you have under the law where you live.
- We may change the subscription's price or what it includes. Google Play notifies existing subscribers of price changes as its policies require.
Acceptable use
Don't use Traitia to:
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
- harass, threaten or harm anyone, or write about others in a way meant to do so;
- send automated or scripted requests, get around the free-request limit or the app's integrity checks, or interfere with the service;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service or its content, except as the law allows.
We may limit or stop access for anyone who does.
Content and intellectual property
The IPIP items are in the public domain. The rest of Traitia — the type descriptions, guides, design and software — belongs to us or our licensors. You may share links to it and quote short passages with attribution. What you write in the app stays yours; you let us process it only to provide the coaching, as the privacy policy describes.
Traitia's four-letter codes are derived from Big Five scores. Traitia is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, The Myers-Briggs Company; MBTI and Myers-Briggs are its trademarks.
Availability
We try to keep Traitia working but can't promise it will always be available or error-free. We may change or discontinue features. If we ever discontinue paid coaching, we'll stop renewals first.
Disclaimers and liability
Traitia is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on an assessment result or a coaching response. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the subscription in the 12 months before it. Some places don't allow these limits, in which case they apply only as far as allowed. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Changes
If these terms change materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Traitia after a change means you accept the new terms.
